Calibration solution is used to make sure your pH pen is reading correctly. Pour enough calibration solution in a clean container to cover the pH probe. Place meter in solution and adjust the reading to match 4. Remove from solution and rinse with water, now calibrate your pen to 7, repeat above procedure except use Target pH 7 calibration solution. Now your meter is ready to use. Do not re-use calibration solutions. Check the expiry date on calibration bottle. Calibrate meters at least once a week. Clean your probe with every use. Keep probe moist and covered when not in use, this will extend the life of your pen.
