1000W digital ballasts will operate MH or HPS lamps. The quick start feature allows the bulbs come to full brightness in a quarter of the time it takes a traditional core and coil ballast. Another unique feature of this ballast is a built in fan to extend the life of your electronics, not usually found on most other electronic ballasts.
